As a member of the Maui community, Maui No Ka Oi magazine is proud to sponsor a variety of activities and events.
Supporting the Arts:
As part of our affiliation with the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Maui No Ka Oi hosts the Center’s annual Maile Dinner for major donors. We also host the annual Teachers’ Awards Dinner for primary and secondary educators who have completed professional-development workshops conducted by the MACC and the Department of Education, Maui District, on teaching in, about, and through the arts.
Supporting Maui’s Culinary Industry:
Throughout the year, Maui No Ka Oi partners with Better Brands/Grand crew and some of the island’s finest restaurants to present the ‘Aipono Winemakers’ Dinner series—evenings that explore great cuisine and fine wines while benefiting the Maui Culinary Academy.
Each spring, Maui No Ka Oi invites readers to vote on their favorite Maui restaurants in a wide range of categories—then hosts a gala dinner for Maui’s restaurant industry at which winners receive awards and the recognition of their peers. Like the Winemakers’ Dinners, proceeds from the ‘Aipono Awards banquet benefit the Maui Culinary Academy and the students who are tomorrow’s chefs.
Maui No Ka Oi is also a proud sponsor of the annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival, a four-day celebration of splendid wines and cuisines.
Supporting Island Agriculture:
Maui is among the most geographically remote islands in the world—which makes a sustainable agricultural industry not only desirable, but essential. Maui No Ka Oi is pleased to support that industry as a sponsor of the Maui County Farm Bureau’s Agricultural Fair.
